 GIMP Vocabulary Quiz

One of the more interesting aspects of ESL learning has been the idea of English immersion  simply by working with software where all of the controls or functions are in English. Portable Gimp is especially well adapted for this use if you want to learn some technical jargon specific to image editing and does not need to be installed on a computer..

Some quick definitions
Paste: glue: join or attach, adhere Blur:: hazy, to film over: become glassy, less clear
Landscape: an expanse of scenery or panorama Layer: a single thickness or thin sheetlike expanse
Brighten: to fill with light , make luminous Flip: somersault or throw as to reverse, inverse

1.Students like to use GIMP and other Image Manipulation Programs to copy drawings, images, and photos and  _________ them to together to form collages or mosaics. (The famous CTRL + C &  CTRL + V or Shift CTRL+E)

The Gimp toolbar  is loaded with all sorts of useful devices.
